My First day at Loyola…a lot of memories (I kinda put all that down in my BLACK n WHITE series). Lots and lots of cars, that my bro used to break, so that he could get a better one the very next day. The day I cycled first. My passion in sketching huge pictures of animals and cars, which mostly included the Lion and the Gypsy… My first friends… My home, the place near the CSI church, my VBS classes, the time spend in (the then) VP Fr. Pullickal SJ’s office, the books he used to give us… the sand triangle in front of the school canteen… the day we moved to a new house… hmm… okay, I won’t go on.

Hmm…well..third grade no? Maithri ma’am’s class. She always used to joke that she would kick me from school to CET so that I’ll land in front of my Dad. One of the best teachers one could ever get. Then…the times we spend on Math problems, and other problems, and many more…Oh! I miss Loyola!!!

Woke up at 0145 hrs. By 0530, I finished my Chemistry Assignment on Pollutants. Then, after everything, I reached college, only to find that our last two hours (note: Today Friday) was Electrical. By 1400 hrs, I met the Electrical guest lecturer, and told her I won’t attend the class due to ‘acute bronchitis and migraine due to sinusitis’. So I left college that hour itself, boarded the first train from Kottayam, reached Trivandrum by 1800 hours. Grabbed a copy of Maxim, and then, finally, sitting here typing this…

I finished Five Point Someone and The Three Mistakes of My Life in the meantime, they were good, Chetan Bhagat classics, but only lasted an evening!

SO Why afterall?? Why do I face all those criticism everytime I post something sensitive or all those ear candy when I post Crap, and at the end of it, come back to post more?? Why do I blog?? WHY? KYUN??
Well, here goes nothing…
One of my major reasons(read: excuses), when I started out on a Winter night two years ago, was just how to utilize my time to do something that makes me happy. Somehow, I find it while writing this down too! But then that was two long years ago. I was an 8 point someone then and a 16 year old, and all I cared about was how to overthrow my fellow neighbour, keeping myself going, just one lil step ahead of him. I did so, but it just really justify my cause. I don’t know what I’m trying to put across through that above statement. It just came to my mind, and so I typed it to see how good it would look onscreen.
Then I realized, mind you… only for a three month span, that Blogging actually could be a tool where I can publish my artwork. But Artery seemed too far an option. I was too lazy to first sketch, then scan, upload, etc, etc, etc… It felt so like a Herculean one, so that idea went straight to the basket.
Then happened something that changed my blogging forever. I only used to post like 1 per month, one of the reasons being my hectic IIT preparatory schedule, so you can see there was serious lack of that Blogger butt on my back so that I can get myself seated on this rusty maroon PC chair of mine. But then she came. And when she came, she came like a storm! I just went nuts. Still figuring if it was Love, lust or just High school drama, but then I felt really good each and every time I sat in that IIT class, she was just inches away… So, my first post after that went like Platinum Jubilee w.r.t my previous ones. I got some new readers, a few hundred visits, and I felt I finally made it.
But I have this kutti kutti problem. My posts are based on my emotions, not on my rhetoric skills or my common sense. Both my parents were experienced teachers, they lectured batches and batches of bright young talent in two well renowned colleges in Trivandrum. But then there was me, this chap who kinda couldn’t even drag himself in front of even 5 people. Call it stage-fear or anything, But when anyone was looking me in the eye, and when I felt like the centre of the universe, my tongue paralyzed. That’s the time, I felt I never should have been born with an adrenaline gland in me. It fucking killed me in front of everyone. Growing up with the 50 best in the city was hard. You found good friends, but not a best friend in any of them. Expressing oneself proved to be impossible in itself. Everyone wanted to hear the guy who was a lil better than them in oratory. Trashing one’s self esteem was the way to go. Expression found no space in that cosmos. May be it’s the Loyola way, many seniors have told me that such an environment, surrounded by the best of the best, made them the best wherever they went after schooling. So, I’ll hope the same too. So my point is that, growing in such an environment, I really, very badly wanted to vent my feelings, my opinions, my emotions. And this is the best way so far. Blogging.
But then sometimes you hardly even know what’ll happen next. After a failed relationship, A heartbreak, I felt like the biggest loser in the world. Some say it is my fault. Maybe I wrote a lil too much. But it happens na. I didn’t kill anyone no? Well, who cares now!!! If anyone truly understood me, then all this never would have happened. I was the kind of guy who started to control my apex emotions at a young age. I knew that if I ain’t gonna control it, No one’s safe, including me.
But then that incident took me like Katrina in the US. I fell, for the first time, in some 13 years. It was rage, anger, frustration, and it sure made my posts way longer, filled with enough language. That was my career peak, I would say. You know how girls are, without their daily dose of spam, trash, n gossip, they can’t even breathe. But then they don’t comment in your blog posts too. 60 hits in 5 days, 55 hits in 3 days, those numbers went like crazy. But then seldom did any one of them think about how the author felt. It was just pure entertainment for them. So I stopped.
My best ever posts were undoubtedly the Black n White series. They were a hit, and still are, in a respective way of course! I made it into one of the Loyolites.com’s Newsletters…and voila! it was kinda like, elevation of blogger status. Come on, 303 hits a day!!! That was kinda lil too much. Atleast for me. But then you know how I am. I am a lil insane, so I post crap in between. It simply spoils the whole effect. …But then that’s NSJ for you. I just draw insatiable sadistic pleasure from the smallest of things, and this is kinda a ‘Medium-Large’ for me…!
I know blogging ain’t only about hits n stuff. But then it is a sure part, a small part though. The best part about blogging is that, well… now you might have figured out. I am kinda like too “you know what” to express that. And so I ask myself, why do I blog after all? Kyun??

Yeah! Finally, It’s about time. A Cristopher Nolan’s Bat-Joker movie! I’ve been waiting for this flick from the time I saw Jack Nicholson …err…paint his face white. I just anticipated another Joker movie, ‘coz after the vampire Ra’s al Ghul, Joker is the most lived villian in Batman…and he is, no doubt, the greatest nemesis Batman has ever faced.
The Joker’s origin is kinda confusing. He first appeared in Batman #1 in 1940. If you ask the joker himself about his origins, he would say, “Sometimes I remember it one way, sometimes another… if I’m going to have a past, I prefer it to be multiple choice!” But sadly no one else doesn’t. I, for one, am happy with one of the various origins that sprouted out through various versions of the Batman. And I would like to stick to the one revealed in Batman Confidential(#7 to #12). Jack is a guy, bored with his work, and obsessed with Batman. To attract his attention, this chap breaks into a musuem, and injures many people. One of them happen to be Lorna Shore, the lady Bruce Wayne has been dating. Bats comes to the scene, puts a batarang to his face, and puts him in the middle of some serious trouble. Joker is the greatest psycho in Batman series, whether it is Detective Comics, Hush, Animated Series, The Nail series, Elseworld series. You name it, he has been there! But then, the Joker proved his mettle when he killed off Jason Peter Todd, the second and the least popular Robin, in ‘A Death in the Family’ storyline. However, he also killed Tim Drake, the Boy Wonder, the third robin in the ‘Nail’ series, an alternate storyline, in front of Batman. The dark Knight saw Tim die helplessly as Joker electrocuted him.
Now, back to the latest Joker. Yes, Heath Ledger. He completed filming his role as the Joker in this movie, shortly before dying, on January 22, 2008, from an accidental prescription drug overdose at age 28. His final film performance, uncompleted at the time of his death, is the role of Tony in Terry Gilliam’s forthcoming film ‘The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus’. Both the directors, Cristopher Nolan and Terry Gilliam, intend their films to celebrate and pay tribute to Ledger’s work in them. Let us all pray for that great soul who delivered to us various characters in various blockbuster hits.
The rest of the cast include Cristain Bale as the forever scared Dark Knight, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent( the attorney who ends up as Two-Face), Maggie Gyllenhaal as Rachel Dawes, Gary Oldman as Lieutenant James Gordon, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth and Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox.
In Ledger’s words, Joker is ”psychopathic, mass murdering, schizophrenic clown with zero empathy”. We know that will turn out fine.

Batman, yeah…I was crazy about Comics. It helped me sharpen both my language as well as my sketching. And Batman was my favourite. Even without any powers, he made it big. It inspires.
Then the next image is about all that aggression and rage in me, the monster in me. I always wanted to let it out, be free…just like the eagle, which is so free it can fly…
Ya..the crosshair is for gaming…and the bottom right features my art work…art has been my biggest asset.
On the moon, the first image is of Assassin’s Creed, the game. I am mad about PC games. I play, play hard, play dirty, play hardcore!!! The next image is of Lambo ..yeah I love all the Lambos and the classic BMWs…
Then a snap from Tomb Raider…yeah I am obsessed with girls of action. They turn me on!! Just analyse the character. Simple, stylish, sexy, and packed with all that action…not at all like the original Jolie…

This fully graphic-packed epic game is all about what Fun is…with above 200 hours of totally addictive game play, villains who are actually heroes but villains (heh heh!), and above all that (once again) YOU GET TO BE THE EVIL ONE. All you have to do is bring up evil in your own style, fight some tough dwarfs (of course you don’t fight, you can, but you don’t …why bother when you have an army of fire breathing and water gunning minions with you!), kick some sorry ass, abuse all the ’human’ lesser beings…. oh! Its heaven (read Hell)!!
The story begins with the overgrown, overfed, obese heroes killing the overlord…and somehow the minions find you and they think you have your predecessor’s soul embedded with you (and crap) and they obviously make you their master, and hmm.. their new OVERLORD. You have missions and quests but who cares! Its just fun to take some 15-30 minions with you, blow up some buildings, set the wheat on fire (yeah! You have firepower, some cool spells at your disposal and a tiny tiny manna bar), and most important thing is that you are Free!! Well…cant say more, you’ll have to play it to experience it! Well then people….GOOD LUCK with your OVERLORDING!!
